October Runs

Hello all.

I will be travelling around Ireland from October 9th - 20th, and am researching any runs that I could participate in during that time period. If there are any races of any distance I'd love to sign up, or else I'm interested in some advice on where to run on my own, or with a running group.

I'll be in Dublin 9 - 12
Cork 12 - 14
Driving the west coast 14 - 16 (Dingle area most likely, not sure where we are staying yet)
Galway 16 - 18
Dublin again 18- 20

My boyfriend is running the Marine Corp. Marathon here in DC on October 26th, which I know is the same day as the Dublin marathon, so I'm hoping we can hook up with some training groups while we are in town.

Any advice, even if it's just your favorite running route in those areas, I'd appreciate the insight!

I did see a site for a 10K in Donadea on the 10th, which I would love to run, but we will not have a car while we are in Dublin, so I wasn't sure if we could get to the race or not via public transportation. Does anyone know the details on that?
