Mouth Cover

Hi, Could anyone recommend a good cover for the mouth whilst running or is it really necessary with Irish weather? I've just gotten a chest infection which I thought was from a short fast run in very cold weather. The more I read here I realise it may be due to not warming up/cooling down properly , and from wearing a jacket that caused me to sweat a lot. I bought a high-vis single layer jacket in ALDI recently but it doesn't allow much air to get in. Any advice would be welcome? Thanks

The only time I ever wore something over my mouth whilst running was when I did the GOAL mile last Christmas day, it was -9. The air was so cold it hurt when I was breathing in. Otherwise I wouldn't use anything.

You could try a Buff? I have an alpaca or lambswool one that is breathable and I found it helped my breathing whilst running.
