Hi Princess,I use Livestrong My Loops. Its very easy to use and it only takes a few minutes to use it.Its on Livestrong.com.Its very accurate also as I've driven some of the loops and its more or less bang on the same distance as it is on the tracker.
Hope this helps,
Paul

Hi, I don't understand why you don't like mapmyrun?
Its as easy as it gets!
On home page, go to routes dropdown menu (don't click routes),
click map a run,
next put your location e.g Dublin, Ireland or Galway, Ireland whatever
click continue
click x on next page about login or register
then your on to map view, click your starting point, highlight 'follow roads option' and your off! click on the km to change to miles etc.
I find it very accurate and can't fault it really
if you want a gps watch read this or this it might help, go for a 410 or 610 they will map where you have ran. personally I use a FR70 plus mapmyrun

Only issue that I have with map my run is that it sometimes doesn't "see" smaller roads so it maps the run over the larger roads instead. If there's a way around it let me know.
I also use mapmytracks.com

Ya that is a little bit annoying when it takes in a road you don't want, I just knock off the follow roads tab and switch it back on after the junction. You need to click a good few times just after junctions etc so that the software has some idea where you want to go. If you had to put in road types widths etc then it would be too painfull. There is an option to not follow 'highways' and 'pathways' in 'options' maybe this would work for you? never tried it as I run towards the countryside and avoid the streets

Check out www.gpsies.com. That site allows you to use different road maps, satellite maps, etc. to map your runs. In addition, it allows numerous formats (Garmin, Google Earth and lots of others for download) for import and export of routes, it is awesome. It has elevation profiles, etc. calculated as well and it's free. You don't even have to log in, unless you want to permanently upload a route/course. It's my go to site for creating routes and tracing race courses to figure out their exact profile, etc.

I have signed up for the Connermarathon and been accepted etc. However I subscribed to the newsletter a few times but have not received anything yet. Anyone know when it may arrive?

i find myasics.co.uk great
As well as training plans it links onto google maps and you can map your run , name it and save it for when you do it again. Clicking along the map is bit fiddly and if you go off road on trails is you are kind of guessing the track- but it beats driving along your route to clock it
