Hi,

Anyone know of any half marathons later this year / early next year ? I completed the Achill half in July and hope to do the one in the Phoenix Park at the end of this month and am looking for one later this year / early 2010 to keep me motivated.

Thanks

Cath

Hi there,

I am taking part in this half marathon. Looks to be pretty gruelling through the gap and dunloe and back again but the scenery should more than make up for it.

STRAWBERRY HALF MARATHON 27th June 2010 at 10am The Promenade, Enniscorthy.

The Wicklow way trail towards end of March will be at least half marathon distance, possibly slightly longer (somewhere between 21 and 25k). Keep an eye on emerging calendar on imra website. A top notch scenic route if there ever was one, from Lough Tay to Johnny Foxes. Any race that finishes at a pub has to be good

no was'nt that bad!  Only joking the hill between miles 21 and 23 was a kerrymans joke:-) hill it was a cliff face!!! but what a view when you made it to the top....stunning is all I can say and you finish on a lovely downhill.  I've signed up for the ultra this year so it can't have been that bad.  Like Connemara the organisation was faultless and the atmosphere magic.  Best days running ever!

I did my first half marathon in Dingle in 2010 and the scenery and atmospehere and weather were perfect, great experience. Very hilly though. I am now looking for a flat half marathon to do a PB, am signed up for Bath on March 6th but anyone know of any in Ireland that are flat and fast.

To Anonymous looking for a flat half marathon, check out www.midlandshalfmarathon.com in Portlaoise on 1st Aug. It's not completely flat, but not far off. (Check the gradient on the route section, one hill only really.)
