Is entry to this open? It appears so on the website but it wont accept a visa transaction.
Is anyone considering this yet for its 10th anniversary?

I've already signed up to do the Full Marathon, paid with Mastercard, got receipt ok so hopefully it should be fine!

Hi Scooby,
I can confirm that you can enter via visa card so details or numbers might have been entered wrong? We already have quite a number of participants for so early on. 10th anniversary, this will be special.

Signed up of the ultra last year and had my OH and bro doing the half but i picked up a injury so were all set for this year( once i had to stop i think it was a handy excuse for them) ,, scary but it feels like i have had this race in sight for a year's and its 9 months away but my training is going well so fingers crossed it will all go well, its a warm up for comrads if i can get a place and cheap flight lol :-) and i have never ran more then 26.385 before but as a previous poster say "impossable is nothing "

Hi anonymous yeah well I believe that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it!  It will be scooby and mine's first time to do it too.  Was supost to do it last year but a bug put me out of it so am hoping to do well next year.  Found these forums great for suport through the training process, so keep in touch about your training as it can get lonely when doing it by yourself and sure we can all meet up for a pint afterwards!  Best of luck with the training and hope you got your place in comerades, yvo

Anonmymous- You are on the same track as me....Conne ultra with a view to comrades if I can get it cheap enough. Opening for entry for comrades is september 1st and they sold out very quickly last year ( ie by lunchtime).
Would you be travelling solo or have you others to go with?

Will be travelling solo. There was a long thread on runnersworld.co.uk last year that has morphed into the 2011 one now. I think a lot of runners went through dubai and other connections. Not sure how we would be fixed . WIll check out skyscanner to see what might be available. Likely to make the savings on accommodation rather than flights, I suspect. Will you stay long while there for the race?
