For anyone doing the Ultra, marathon or half in Connemara in 2010 and beyond!

For anyone doing any of the Connemara races on april 11th I found an old article written by Mick Rice. I'm not claiming it, I'm restoring it to its rightfull place at the top of the list!  It's a wonderfull peice describing the route from an Ultra marathoners experience but it does capture the essence of the race the beauty of the landscape and the magical atmosphere of this particular race with the added bonus that he knows this landscape so well the name of places mountains and rivers! It's long but so worth the read and for anyone who may be looking for inspiration in these last few weeks of hard training before tapering for the great day itself you should defo read this!  It's in the Ultra marathon section but don't let that put you off if I had the techinical savey I'd have moved it here for everyone's attention.  It's simply called a "Description of the race".  It's a beautiful peice of work, well I thought so:-)  It brings the race to life, Good luck to everyone doing this race, yvonne
