Hi All

We are Alan Mullin and Darren O' Connell both from Shannon in Co Clare.

As the heading suggests we are planning to run twelve marathons to raise as much money as we can for Cystic Fibrosis research and care. All proceeds raised will go to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.

The plan is to run a marathon a month for the duration of 2008. Our website should be up and running in the next couple of weeks and will have a facility via which people can donate. Alternatively, you could help us raise money by running with us.

We would like to extend an open invite to anyone who would like to join us for a marathon or marathons along the way. So if you think you would be up for the challenge please get in touch as we would be delighted to hear from you.

The list of Marathons is as follows,

Jan 1st - New Year's Marathon Zurich (completed)

Feb 17th - Valencia (completed)

March 16th - Rome (completed)

April 6th - Connemara (completed)

May 24th - Burren, Co. Clare

June 21st - Tromso Summer Night Marathon (Norway)

July 26th - Swiss Alpine Marathon

Aug 16th - Helsinki Marathon

Sept 28th - Berlin

October 27th - Dublin

November 2nd - New York

December - Lisbon

Thanks for your support,

Alan & Darren

Well done guys, you've set yourselves some challenge. How did the Burren go - I hear it was tough to say the least. I'll be in Tromso June 21st (only doing the half though) and will keep an eye out for you. Best of luck with the remaining marathons
