Post-race festivities

So after the nice run in the morning, is there a designated place for us to meet up, enjoy some pints of 'black sunshine' to replenish our fluids, and let loose? I am from the states and this will be my first visit to the emerald isle, can't wait!

Cheers!

RV1897,
In previous years there has been a very well organised 'celebration night' in the Radisson hotel in Galway and I'm sure something similar will be organised this year. The night involved a meal and live music, oh, and the odd beer or two.

Hope you enjoy your trip,

Mick.

I think we should nominate a pub in Galway city for a Post Race get together for Sunday evening, if there is nothing official organised, so that you can meet up and chat, as most people will be going home/hotels after the race to shower.

We will be staying at the Great Southern Hotel in Galway. I don't know where that is located, but hopefully central to the post-race gala and continuing festivities. God knows we won't want to have to walk far after the race! Cheers -

The Main great southern is a lovely hotel in town right beside the train station and is very near the radisson. There is also a 'Corrib Great Southern' which is nowhere near the corrib or town, but not too far in a taxi or on the bus.

Folks,
I've only just become aware of the fact that there'll be no organised festivities this year, which is a pity because they were a great success other years. Anyway, I suppose we do need to specify a venue for a few beers afterwards if there's no officially nominated venue. We could still go with the Radisson Bar, which is a fine big place, or are there any other possibilities?

What does everyone think ?

Mick.

Hi there Mick,
You name the place and I'l make sure "The Dashers" are there!
This is one we'll leave to you.
I did spend a week in Galway a few years back and without actually remembering any pacific pubs I definatly can't remember a bad one.
As long as there's plenty of run to fall down!
Cheers matie!
