 Rocks N Rollin Ultra Challenge (B2B) Sat 24th - Sun 25th June '17
63K Ultra Marathon – Full Marathon – Half Marathon - 7 Miler
Guaranteed to both challenge and mesmerize with every twist and turn (and there is lots) of the course. The course is literally carved out of the rugged landscapes and coastal routes in Wild Atlantic Way territory occasionally branching off onto scenic hill tracks, magnificent beaches and some small rock climbs. Four race distances and early starts for walkers / slow runners lends this event suited to all fitness levels. Each race has its own unique character / challenge that will fuel your adrenalin and instill a real sense of pride and achievement as you cross the finish line in the beautiful sea side village of Moville.
The 63k Ultra is a single loop of coastal roads, hill tracks, shore paths, beach surrounded by a variety of beautiful scenic landscapes. The Marathon slots into the loop at the "Drunken Duck" Shroove, Half Marathon at Falmore, 7 miler at Ballyrattan before all races embark on a final 3 mile run with the calming Lough Foyle coastline on their right.
Each race has an earlier start for walkers ensuring that the event is doable for all abilities and the timing starts are staggered so that all race finishers integrate and cross finish line around same time from 1:00 - 3:00pm.
As with all Extreme North events, the rugged landscape and liberating beauty help your journey to the finish line, and a true Donegal hospitality, hot food, camaraderie and craic seal this truly memorable, enduring and enjoyable challenge. And remember, you can do it all again tomorrow.
