Whether you want to be a Bad Ass or Kick Ass this race has everything.
Kayak though the crannogs of King Malachy on Lough Ennell, Cycle through the splendour of the bog of Allen and run, stumble, hike, climb,over the extinct volcano that is Croghan Hill while encountering some surprises along the way to one of Irelands greatest view points.
The whole event is based from Lilliput Adventure Centre where there will be Free Camping Facilities, Free Parking Facilities, Free Showering Facilities and Dining Facilities

TEAM REALY:
There is also a team event section which can be entered by contacting Frank directly on 0878106951. Your team can be made up of 2 or 3 competitors. The cost for a team is € 80.00; There will also be a team category prize. Timing chip must be passed on at each chanegover. It is your responsibility to have team members in place and this must be done prior to race start.
Race Information
- Lilliput Legend will take place on the 7th of July starting at 10am.
- The race will most lightly consist of a number of waves rated on ability.
- Entry Fee € 50.00.

RUN:
During the run you will encounter a mixture of tarmac and of road surface mostly grass with some rock. It is recommended that you use trail shoes but ordinary runners will be sufficient.
CYCLE:
The cycle section is all on tarmac and is suitable for road bikes. The use of mountain or other bikes is fine and will be your personal choice. It is also your choice as to whether you use cycling shoes or opt for straps on your bike. Helmets however are compulsory and your bike must be road worthy.
KAYAK:
The kayak section is on Lough Ennell and will run parallel to the shore. This will mean that for most of the paddle you will not be out of your depth. There will be adequate rescue and safety in place. However this said a regulated PFD(personal flotation device) Buoyancy aid etc is compulsory. If you are using the 2man kayaks provided, all equipment will be supplied. If you are using your own boat all your gear must be clearly labelled and its safety will be your own responsibility.
Compulsory Kit.
- While adequate marashilling is in place and first aid and assistance is available throughout the route, as an adventure racer it is advisable that you are self sufficient and that you adhere to the rules of the road at all times.
- MUST HAVE
- Basic First Aid Kit with at least 1 x bandage, 1 x ambulance dressing & a selection of plasters. 2 mtrs of duck tape will suffice.
- Foil Blanket/Survival Bag
- Sufficient drink & food for your event
- Course Map & whistle
- Knowledge of course. Map reading skills not necessary as course will be well sign posted but be familiar with the course route
- Warm/Wind/Waterproof top
- Cycling Helmet & repair kit
- Buoyancy aid for Kayak section
MIGHT NEED (depending on the weather)
- Hat & Gloves
- Extra warm top
- Small ruck sack or bum bag to carry all of the above
In the event of a competitor getting injured or not been well we would expect fellow athletes to offer assistance
