This year's fundraising 10km cross-country/road route starts and finishes in Kells, its showcases some beautiful scenery running down Maudlin, up Cherry Hill and across the grounds of Headfort House. The Walk/Run is a chipped event. We welcome runners, walkers, men, women, teams, individuals, groups and families (children over the age of 12) to run or walk with us in our quest to raise awareness and much needed funding so we can one day live in a world without breast cancer. For more information about the event and to register go to www.pinkribbonwalk.ie Registration is EU20 per person, which includes your sponsorship card and some ideas to help you fund raise. You will also receive your event t-shirt. This fee also includes your medal upon finishing and post-race refreshments and entertainment in the Headfort Arms Hotel. We encourage you to register early so you have lots of time to acquire and collect your sponsorship. There will be lots of prizes on the day!! The Pink Ribbon Walk is a national movement with a big dream - a world without breast cancer. We plan to bring a Pink Ribbon Walk to every county in Ireland and to grow our fundraising for Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society. Because every cent that's raised in sponsorship has the potential to fund breakthrough research into diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Because every time someone starts a training programme to get fit for a Pink Ribbon Walk, they're reducing their risk of developing breast cancer. And because every time we step out in our pink t-shirts, we're walking to support others, to help ourselves, for fun, friendship and remembrance - but most importantly of all, we're walking towards a cure for breast cancer.
