The Event
The Achill 5K beach race is run entirely on the beach at Keel Strand, Achill Island. This Blue flag beach is famous for its stunning views, clean clear water, and variety of water and beach sports, from surfing to kite buggying. The route will follow an out and back format crossing a small stream mid way, so you could get your toes wet. On completing the race you will be presented with a finisher’s medal, Buff (rrp €15.00) and refreshments.
 
There will also be post race banter and free competitor raffle in the Annex Bar in Keel at 7pm.

The distance of the race will be 5k

The entry fee for the Achill 5k Beach race will be €20.00pp. Entry on the day will be €25.00pp
Chip timed by Champion Chip Ireland
Finishers medal and Buff (rrp €15.00) for all participants

Car Parking
Parking will be clearly signposted on the day of the event – please do not block any gateways or driveways by parking irresponsibly. The people on Achill have welcomed this event onto their Island and everyone should be courteous to the people and show respect towards their property.
 
Post Race Banter, light headed fun and a raffle will be in the Annex Bar, Keel, Achill Island at 7.00pm.
