Terenure 5 Mile

Sportsworld Running Club have pleasure in announcing the inaugural Terenure 5 Mile road race which will take place next Sunday May 13th 2012 at 11AM around the streets of Terenure, South Dublin. Formally known as the "Dublin 5 Mile Classic" the race builds on 28 years of experience. Terenure famous for it's Rugby, now has a road race on the calendar and with record entries it's going to be one of the most enjoyable races on the 2012 calendar on a new faster 2 lap course starting from our new venue in Terenure College, Dublin 6. The course is:

• One of the flattest course around.
• Athletics Ireland (AAI) certified.
• Includes chip timing for all runners, joggers and walkers alike.
• Ideal mini marathon preperation and qualifying event

All participants are encouraged to enter on-line, however a downloadable entry form is available on www.terenure5mile.com which may be sent in by post. Late entries will also be received on the day up to ½ hour before the start on May 13th. (additional fee €5 applies).
This year our chosen charity is Special Olympics Ireland (Eastern Region) and a guaranteed minimum of €5 from each entry will go directly to Special Olympics. Additional supopourt is coming from our main sponsor the (RSA Insurance Ltd) and our additional partners.
The race will have significant individual and team prizes. “FREE Technical T- Shirt to the first 1000 Entries”, omplimentary refreshments at the finish and tea/coffee and sandwiches at the prize ceremony, this will make for a great day out

• On-line registration will close at 10PM this Friday 11th May 2012.
• Registration by hand can be made on Saturday 12th May at Terenure College between 1PM and 5PM
• Registartion on the day of the race up to 10.30am in Terenure College.

Race numbers, timing chips and t-shirts may be collected on Saturday 12th May at Terenure College between 1PM and 5PM or on Sunday morning prior to the race (from 8.30AM).
Terenure Directions: Go in the main gate off Templeogue Rd and go left at 1st. junction. Gym is along on the right at rear of large car park.
