Sperrin Half Ironman

0

After successfully organising numerous Duathlons and Triathlons, Tri Limits are proud to present Irelands first Half Ironman. The event will take place on 8th May 2010 at Lough Fea, which has played host to many of their previous races. The Half Ironman is perfect timing for those thinking of competing in subsequent Ironman competitions – such as – Ironman Lanzarote, 22nd May and Ironman Nice 27th June. Not only can Tri Limits Half Ironman be used as practice for these races; it is also a good indication of your fitness level – required for such endurance battles. The set distances for the Half Ironman are – Swim – 1.2 Miles, Bike – 56 Miles and Run – 13.1 Miles, giving a total distance of 70.3 Miles. The swim for the Half Ironman takes place in Lough Fea, the first race to ever be allowed to swim in the sheltered crystal clear waters. The run and bike course follow the roads and lanes in and around the scenic Lough. The track is a good mixture of a flat and fast path: with rolling hills providing an excellent challenge for the athlete.
