I told them about my 23 bites but didn’t show them the ones on my bum, that’s for Twitter only. Some of you were not too appreciative of that photo, harsh comments. Not many people get such a view, appreciate the treat when it happens kids.
This week Gavin Noble and I have been chewing the fat, running the lap posts, eating porridge, trying to find somewhere to cycle that is not a footpath, talking about bad haircuts,ice hockey, monster trucks that they drive around here, maple syrup, cinnamon buns, pancakes, Big Kev Clark and his Dirty Harry swim set as it is now been renamed.
The dirty Harry is a 5×400m set in which the guys came at me like a spider monkeys. What you do is get 4 guys in a 50m pool in a lane swimming on each others feet in a chain gang, the leader of the chain becomes the swim buoy at the end of each 50m. The other guys have to swim around the human buoy – no holes barred. Dirty Harry swim tactics are encouraged. One of my favourite sets of the year so far.
Tomorrow we race in the duck pond at 4pm, the forecast is for rain, I hope it lashes down all day.
